FACETS Asset Identification, management and Scanning system

Features

The FACETS Asset Identification, management and Scanning system has been designed to satisfy a growing demand In the market for innovative, simple to use asset scanning systems.

Portable scanners are central to the system operation with every transaction recorded. This provides accuracy, trace ability and detailed reporting opportunities.

New assets or assets not on record can be entered on the scanner.  An operator enters the Asset Number, the Asset Item Code (MasterItem), the Location, the Condition, the cost centre, any applicable make, model and serial number and the responsible person.

Scanning the asset tag immediately displays the data currently on the scanner for the scanned asset.  The operator can then choose to edit and update the data including the location, cost centre, make, model, serial number and current condition.

The FACETS system allows an operator to scan or select a location code and then scan each asset into that location.  This allows asset moves to be done rapidly.  Similarily, using the move function to record assets moving between location or Offsite and back, keeps control over movable assets.

It is a business requirement to audit the accuracy of the asset register.  Finding assets, updating their location, and recording their condition allows one to manage business assets correctly.   Physical asset auditing ensures that the financial picture is consistent with the real world.

Report on assets by category, type, and location.  
Report on all transactions whenever data changes.  Report on scanned data before updating assets in the register and export any report to EXCEL.

Facets can keep track and manage physical assets.  It can also leave the asset management to an ERP system and whenever an audit is required, just extract the assets frm the accounting system, perform the physical scanning and create data imports back into the ERP system
